Our Services

Indoor Plant Maintenance

We understand that every office space is unique, with its own biophilic design goals, and we tailor our plant care services to meet the specific needs of each client. Here are some examples of the planting displays we maintain:

Trough Planting
Trough planting, also known as desk toppers, typically features rectangular containers housing a variety of plants. These may either be planted in individual liners, hidden within the container, or grouped together in one large planter, sharing the same growing space. This type of display is increasingly popular because it allows for diverse plant arrangements while using a single container. These can be in a variety of substrates form compost to vulkaponic rock

Living Walls
Living walls come in many forms, from individual pots mounted with adhesive to moss that is treated and preserved, or fully irrigated systems. Our team has extensive experience both installing and maintaining living walls, understanding the complexities and care they require to keep them thriving and vibrant. We also maintain walls that are movable ensuring the client is aware of the plants installed and where they can be located.

Potted Plants
The use of individual potted plants in offices surged in recent years, with most office environments opting for single plants in single pots. Unlike houseplants that are typically watered from the base, office plants often require different care. Modern technology has led to pots with built-in drainage systems, but for those without, we use substrates like LECA (Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate), Vulkaponic, or Perlago Lava Rock. These materials offer superior drainage and aeration, reducing the risk of root rot, and are ideal for hydroponic and semi-hydro setups. They are also reusable and eco-friendly, making them a sustainable alternative to traditional soil or compost.

External Areas

In addition to our indoor expertise we also regularly maintain outdoor spaces such as rooftoop gardens, terraces, courtyards and park spaces featuring a mixture of hardy plants such as Fatsia Japonica and Hosta to a variety of edible produce. We can assist with mowing, striming, watering, pruning and any other needs that your outdoor space requires.

Don't you just need to give plants some water?

Not quite...

Watering is just one aspect of plant maintenance, but it’s not the most important. Our team begins each visit by carefully observing the plant’s condition, checking for pests and signs of disease. Cross-contamination can occur easily, so early detection is crucial to prevent the spread to other plants. We also prune, remove damaged leaves, and clean the foliage, as a build-up of dust can hinder a plant’s ability to absorb light—especially important for indoor plants.

Damaged, yellow, or brown leaves and flowers can sap energy from the plant, slowing new growth. We carefully assess and remove these to encourage healthier growth. Additionally, we rotate the plants on each visit to ensure they remain balanced and full, as they naturally lean towards light and can become uneven without regular care.

While watering is essential, how and when it’s done is equally important. Each plant is different, and rather than sticking to a rigid schedule, we use moisture monitors to tailor our approach. We also provide appropriate feeding at every visit to ensure the plants receive the nutrients they need.

Various factors influence a plant’s moisture levels, including location, light sources (natural and artificial), temperature, and the surrounding environment. To care for indoor plants effectively, we aim to recreate their natural habitats. Succulents and cacti thrive in drier, desert-like conditions, while rainforest plants like Strelitzia, Philodendron, and Monstera require more humidity. In air-conditioned office spaces, where moisture is drawn out of the air, we use misting techniques to replicate the humidity these plants would naturally experience.

Plant care and maintenance require specialised skills, built up through years of experience with different varieties and environments. Our expertise ensures your plants will always thrive and enhance your office space.
